Above The Clouds!

Above the Clouds brings joy and hope through the wonder of flight to children and teens who have a serious illness or disability, are underserved and/or are facing other adversity.
Here is your chance to have your child be a part of this wonderful opportunity, participate in Dream Flyer Day, Saturday, Sept 16th! Many have seen me post pictures and videos of the many flights provided in the past couple of months and we now have the chance to select 3 more kids. If you would like for your child to participate in this amazing activity, please let us know why we should pick your child by sending us a private message.

UPK Storytime every Wednesday!

Join us every Wednesday for our UPK Story time with our parent partner Tameka on our Facebook live at 11am! 

After the story, you will learn about the UPK program. In Boston, we have Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK), which is a blended portfolio of programs funded by the City of Boston that offers high-quality options for three- and four-year-olds living in the city at no cost to families. UPK is a 6.5 hour school day for 180 days a year. The eligibility criteria are:

· The child is three to four years of age as of September 1 of the school year for which you are seeking to enroll;
· A Boston resident.

TOL Community Baby Shower!

Tree of Life JP Community Connections Coalition and Boston Family Engagement Network…celebrated 30 moms today with a beautiful Sweet as can Bee Babyshower! Special thanks to Living Safely in Jackson Square Coalition, Family Resource Center, Boston Childrens Hospital, South Boston Coalition; Your collaboration and contributions helped us make our event a success!!! And all of the individual donations received by residents and community partners!!!

Community Baby Shower! 6.23

Our traditional annual Community Baby Shower is registering now! Our goal is to register 30 moms. First registered, first served.

¡Nuestro tradicional anual Baby Shower Comunitario está registrando ahora! Nuestro objetivo es registrar a 30 mamás. Primero registrado, primero servido.

 

 

Eligibility criteria/Quien puede inscribirse

  •  Expecting moms on their third trimester. Mamas embarazadas en su ultimo trimestre.
  • 0- 6 months old babies. Bebes de 0-6 meses.
  • Live in Jamaica Plain (02130) or Roxbury (02119). (Proof of address required on the day of the event). Vivir actualmente en Jamaica Plain (02130) o Roxbury (02119). Debera apresentar prueba de direccion en el dia del evento.
  • Agree to receive a Welcome Baby visit. Welcome Baby is a one-time celebratory visit for parents with newborns through 9 months of age. Our Welcome Baby Home Visitors bring congratulations on the arrival of your new baby and reinforce the importance of reading and talking with your baby for a child’s healthy development and school readiness. Families receive a beautiful WELCOME BABY gift bag filled with special items for the baby.  

    Aceptar recibir una visita de bienvenido bebé.  Bienvenido Bebé es una visita de celebración única para padres con recién nacidos hasta los 9 meses de edad. Nuestros visitadores brindan felicitaciones por la llegada de su nuevo bebé y refuerzan la importancia de leer y hablar con su bebé para el desarrollo saludable y la preparación escolar de un niño. Las familias reciben una hermosa canasta de regalo llena de artículos especiales para el bebé.

Fresh Food for Seniors!

Thanks to the Family Food Connections Boston Childrens Hospital we were able to make 80 bags of fresh vegetables for the seniors of 295, 297 Centre St and the Julia Martin House. They were all delivered to each apartment.
